Delivery Policy
All products sold online are available for collection or can be delivered. Our depot is based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands and we have our own fleet of local delivery vehicles. Outside this area and for national delivery we use a nationwide carrier who will deliver goods that are able to be palletised. These include bulk bags of sand and gravel, packs of slabs and bricks etc. They are unable to deliver products such as fence panels, lengths of timber etc.
Product prices shown are collection prices and include VAT.
Please note that the delivery address MUST match the payment or invoice address when purchasing goods.
Local Delivery
For a small additional charge you can arrange delivery of your items using the delivery cost calculator.
We deliver Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 5.00pm. Delivery will normally take place on the day agreed with yourself. We normally require 3 to 5 days notice. When we receive your order we will contact you by email or telephone to advise your expected delivery day, weekends excepted. For orders placed during the weekend we will advise at the beginning of the next working week.
Whilst every effort is made to ensure your materials arrive to the delivery destination as scheduled, occasionally delays do occur. Please factor this into your project schedule by allowing several extra days to ensure the materials are delivered prior to the commencement of your project. Neither we or the haulier will accept liability for loss or damage incurred by a delay in delivery irrespective of cause.
Our local building material deliveries are completed using our own fleet of vehicles. Lighter materials are delivered using flat bed trucks and heavier, bulkier materials are delivered using crane off-load heavy goods vehicles. Deliveries are to kerbside only, meaning that our vehicles will park roadside to your property and offload the materials by hand or by crane on to the nearest sensible area of level ground within your property’s boundary.
Our vehicles are not permitted on to private property. If it is essential for the vehicle to manoeuvre on to private property then the customer must first grant permission. Being a heavy goods vehicle it is possible for the vehicle to cause damage to domestic drives by its sheer weight. Customers who require our HGVs to manoeuvre on to private property accept liability if any damage occurs because of vehicle weight.
Drivers of our crane vehicles must operate in accordance with their professional training. Customers can request for materials to be delivered in a specific site location but it is ultimately the decision of the driver to ensure that it is reasonable and safe to do so.
Nationwide delivery for palletised and bulk packed items
Products that are bulk packed and state that they are available for nationwide delivery have the delivery charge excluded in the product price shown.
The charge for palletised goods delivered nationally is approximately £50.00 per pallet dependent upon area and number of pallets.
Deliveries are to kerbside only and completed by heavy goods vehicles with tail lift and pallet truck. Please ensure access is made for vehicles up to 32 feet long and that the delivery area is level and solid enough to accommodate a pallet truck carrying up to 1,000kg of weight ; grass and gravel are not considered level hard standing. If the delivery area is not flat then the customer may be required to help offload the pallet.
Please fully inspect the delivery before signing. If there is notable damage, please be sure to mark the delivery note with the word ‘damaged’ to ensure the resolution process can be as efficient as possible
If a delivery entails our vehicle entering a clean air zone, we will add any clean air zone charge applicable as a separate item which the customer must pay.
We would ask that, where possible, at the time of your delivery you check the condition of the goods and also ensure we have provided the correct quantity. Our driver may ask you to sign the delivery note and any shortages or damaged goods should be recorded on the delivery note.
Many goods we supply are natural products and may have natural variations in colour and surface imperfections. Timber products may have small shakes and/or timber knots etc. The colour of the timber may vary slightly and will fade with time. As long as these natural defects do not impair the intended purpose for which it was sold, we class the products as acceptable and we will not deliver free of charge replacements. However you may return such goods to our yard and we will do our best to find a better example of the same item.
Defective or damaged goods will be replaced free of charge as long as we are notified within three days of you receiving your delivery. It would be helpful if you could email us a photograph of the item to ensure we provide the correct replacement. We reserve the right to refund the price of any item where replacement is not viable.
